Section 202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly:
The Section 202 program helps expand the supply of affordable housing with supportive services for the elderly. It provides very low-income elderly with options that allow them to live independently, but in an environment that provides support activities such as cleaning, cooking, transportation, etc. The program is similar to Supportive Housing for Persons with Disabilities (Section 811).

Section 515 USDA Rural Rental Housing Loans:
Section 515 Rural Renting Housing Loans are mortgages made by USDA to provide affordable rental housing for very low-, low-, and moderate-income families, elderly persons, and persons with disabilities.

Project Based Vouchers:
Project-based vouchers are a component of a public housing agencies (PHAs) housing choice voucher program. A PHA can attach up to 20 percent of its voucher assistance to specific housing units if the owner agrees to either rehabilitate or construct the units, or the owner agrees to set-aside a portion of the units in an existing development.

Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC):
The Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) is the federal government's primary program for encouraging the investment of private equity in the development of affordable rental housing for low-income households.
